My name is Niri. I‘m an Israeli native living in San Francisco, CA.
I love getting to know my students and their interests, and I will tailor my classes accordingly.
If you are interested in learning the modern Hebrew that is spoken in Israel today, that will be our focus. I love teaching slang and expressions, and to share stories about modern Israeli life, food, holidays, and people.
If you are preparing for your Bar/Bat mitzvah, or if you are interested in understanding Israeli values, politics, and history, I will let that be our guide for learning together.
While it takes commitment and practice to learn a new language, I always do my best to make the classes fun, relevant, and engaging!
My students range from level 1 (beginner) to level 5 (advanced) according to reading, writing, and conversational abilities.

Do I need to have any prior knowledge of Hebrew to start learning?
No.
Where do you teach?
Since 2020, all our classes are taught online via video call, usually on Google Meet or Zoom.
How long are the classes?
Classes are 60 to 90 min long.
Do I need to purchase any books or material?
Yes, we are using this book for beginners and this book for advanced students. I also provide some materials to meet my students’ individual learning goals.
